Why should you improve your numeracy?
Everyday maths - or numeracy - is the kind of thing you use in tasks such as book-keeping, bills and budgeting. Even if you didn't like maths at school, everyone can improve. Gaining confidence with numbers can make a real difference to how you solve everyday problems such as cost estimation and travel planning.

Who we are
Set up in 2012, National Numeracy set out to raise the levels of numeracy in the UK among both adults and children. The Government's 2011 Skills for Life report found that 49% of adults in the UK have the numeracy expected of primary school children. Our online Challenge is a free, confidential way for adults to test and improve their numeracy.
