Project Assistant (Kickstart scheme)

The role: The Project Assistant will work with the Programmes and Partnership teams at National Numeracy. The Programmes team runs our programmes targeted at improving people’s confidence and skills with numbers in everyday life. We work digitally through our unique online systems, accessed by thousands every month, and through employer and school-based projects. We run projects with the NHS working with health care workers. And we run projects in 20 primary schools which involve working with the parents and carers as well as the teachers. We also run large campaigns to raise awareness of our work.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the programmes team in organising workshops and training sessions, both online and face-to-face
  • Collecting feedback and surveys from project participants
  • Arranging and attending programme meetings
  • Being in contact with project partner organisations such as schools and employers by phone and email
  • Keeping accurate records and maintaining project & partnership systems
  • Working with the partnerships team to send out campaign materials to partner organisations to help them engage their employees in improving their numeracy
  • Working with the External Relations team on campaign administration
