30 Oct 2025

This Number Confidence Week 3-7 November, National Numeracy is inviting schools to join in the fun with the Wheel of Numbers assembly with Barclays LifeSkills and plenty more.

Numbers are all around us and what better way to demonstrate this than with a fun-filled live assembly for school children this Number Confidence Week?

Join celebrity guests in celebrating number confidence

Taking place on Wednesday 5 November and broadcast live from a school at 9.30am, the Wheel of Numbers assembly for ages 7-11 will be hosted by none other than EduTuber and BAFTA award-winning presenter, Maddie Moate.

Maddie will be joined by financial content creator and National Numeracy ambassador Rotimi Merriman-Johnson – AKA Mr MoneyJar – and Barclays UK CEO Vim Maru.

Along with pupils, they’ll spin the Wheel of Numbers, uncover props, and tackle fun everyday number challenges covering themes like sport, shopping, hobbies, jobs and home life in this high-energy, interactive game show. There will also be an activity pack for schools, to accompany the assembly.

Following on from the success of National Numeracy Day in May, the event will bring number confidence to life for children across the UK.

As well as being an exciting interactive event for pupils to join with, the live assembly will:

  • Show pupils that numbers are everywhere in their daily lives
  • Encourage them to have a go at the challenges, whatever their confidence level
  • Celebrate number confidence across the nation

The Wheel of Numbers live assembly is one of many events taking place for Number Confidence Week, whose Headline Supporter is Barclays LifeSkills.

This year’s campaign has the theme of "Money Matters" and will provide plenty of free resources for both children and adults to help them take the first step towards improved numeracy for everyday life.
