Congratulations to Nabila
Nabila delivered a ‘My Maths’ assembly, sharing her numeracy journey and inspiring the children with the value of maths in her role.
Jasmine McClelland, Maths Lead at Old Palace Primary School shared the positive impact the assembly had for the children: "The children enjoyed the assembly and were inquisitive, they liked hearing about how Nabila uses maths in her job as an Auditor and liked the link to her being like a number detective!"
During our fully funded My Maths Story assembly for Key Stage 2 (7- to 11-year-olds) our corporate volunteers share their experience with maths with the children. Detailing their feelings around maths and school experiences when they were a child, and the steps along their maths journey including how they feel now as an adult, and how they use it in their job and life outside work. This is interactive with the children reflecting on how and where they use maths everyday outside of school. The assembly enables pupils to make the link between what they are learning and the world of work, inspiring them to see the maths in life beyond school.
