Get ready for National Numeracy Day 22 May 2024

Welcome! We are so glad you are taking part in the UK’s only day dedicated to everyday maths on Wednesday 22 May 2024.

We want to make getting involved in National Numeracy Day as simple and easy as possible for you and your colleagues.

Making it easy for you to get involved

We want to make getting involved in National Numeracy Day as simple and easy as possible for you and your colleagues. We know you are short of time.

This year we have live events, celebrity activities, fun with Times Tables Rockstars and much more.

And for kids up to 13, our fantastic Number Heroes competition returns with £6,000 worth of prizes for schools up for grabs.

Remember - everything is free and there is no fundraising requirement. So the whole school can get involved regardless of household income.

National Numeracy Day is an effective way to:

  • Support maths learning at every age
  • Support the maths curriculum with our Family Maths Toolkit
  • Boost kids’ confidence with numbers
  • Inspire a positive mindset towards numbers
  • Make links between maths and activities kids love in everyday life
  • Make links between maths and other areas of the curriculum
  • Have fun with maths, regardless of ability
