As well as coming on board as Lead Supporters of our key campaigns, they are also the newest member of the National Numeracy Leadership Council. Their collaboration and commitment marks a defining moment in our mission to help everyone get on with numbers, so they can get on with life.
Building number confidence and financial inclusion nationally
This collaboration represents more than just financial support, it’s a shared vision for empowering number confidence and financial inclusion. Throughout the three-year partnership, Compare the Market will play a central role in driving our work forward, nationally. Plus, they will be flying the flag for our two impactful campaigns, National Numeracy Day and Number Confidence Week. Their help will allow us to reach more individuals, break down critical barriers to number confidence, and deliver tangible impact in the communities we serve to improve numeracy.
Sara Rolph, CSR Manager at Compare the Market said:
"At Compare the Market, our purpose is to help make financial decision-making a breeze for everyone. Confidence with numbers is a foundation for financial empowerment, and by partnering with National Numeracy, we’re not only supporting essential programmes and campaigns – we’re championing a future where everyone has the confidence to make informed financial decisions. We’re proud to be working with National Numeracy to help create lasting change in communities across the UK."
Amplifying awareness
Compare the Market’s support will enable us to reach hundreds of thousands of people through our programmes, activations and campaigns – targeting the areas of greatest need to build number confidence and tackle negative attitudes towards numeracy. Together, we’re helping people see how numbers shape everyday life. This partnership is built on deep trust and shared commitment, and it signals the scale of long-term change we can achieve together.
In addition to generous funding, Compare the Market will bring expertise, creativity, and advocacy to the table as the newest members of our National Numeracy Leadership Council. Their voice will be instrumental in tackling the UK’s numeracy crisis, amplifying awareness, and ensuring that our work continues to be bold, innovative, and far reaching.
Inspiring the next generation
Compare the Market employees will be joining our Corporate Volunteering Programme, making a real impact in primary schools across the UK. By sharing their own maths journeys and engaging meaningfully with pupils, they’ll help inspire the next generation to see the power and potential of numbers.
Sam Sims, CEO, National Numeracy said:
"We’re incredibly excited to welcome Compare the Market as a key partner in our work. Their commitment and support will significantly boost our reach and impact, helping us break down barriers to number confidence across the UK. Together, we’ll empower thousands more people to build the skills and confidence they need to thrive in everyday life."
The journey ahead is an exciting one
With Compare the Market by our side in a truly purposeful partnership, we’re able to create long-term, sustainable change across the UK; helping to build a fairer, more financially inclusive society, and leave a legacy of improved number confidence for many.
We’ll be sharing stories, updates, and milestones along the way.
Thank you, Compare the Market, for partnering with us, and for believing in the power of collaboration to drive real change.
