How you can enter the competition
The theme of National Numeracy Day 2026 is Count On Your Community, so this year we’re asking children: “How do people use numbers in your neighbourhood, club or community?”
Whether it’s working out the times on the local bus timetable, figuring out the top scores in a football club’s season or calculating how much pocket money they’ll need to save to buy a game or toy, children just need to draw the ways numbers are used in everyday life.
Head judge Bobby Seagull will choose the winners
National Numeracy celebrity ambassador Bobby Seagull will select the winners based on which entries are the most imaginative, show great effort, and include the most creative uses for numbers.
National Numeracy celebrity ambassador and head judge Bobby Seagull said:
“Numbers are everywhere and for this year’s Number Heroes competition I’d love to see how you use them within your community. Reading bus timetables, working out your local football team’s league position or calculating how much pocket money you can spend at your school’s summer fayre – however you use numbers, I can’t wait to see all your fantastic drawings!”
