National Numeracy Day 2025 has a theme: it's the Money Edition

We want to help children build confidence in using numbers, from a young age, to make smart money choices. From planning a picnic to deciding whether to walk or take the bus, or even choosing between ice creams and the fare home!

The interactive assembly includes:

  • A high-energy Number Fun Rap to kick off the day
  • A live "choose your own adventure" money challenge
  • Real-time votes and shoutouts from schools tuning in across the country
  • Live illustrations by bestselling author and artist Rob Biddulph, bringing children’s decisions to life on screen

“Money is part of our lives every single day,” said Bobby Seagull. “Whether it’s saving for a treat or deciding how to get to school, understanding numbers helps us make better choices. National Numeracy Day is all about showing kids that maths can be fun, useful and empowering.”

We want to get children celebrating the magic of everyday maths, by imagining all the ways they might use numbers when they’re older!

Children aged 3-13 can enter, as well as all children and young people in receipt of SEN support or an EHCP.
