Highlights of the Schools & Families Programme in Wales
Highlights from the Schools & Families Programme in Wales so far include receiving funding from Dysgu, who oversee the Curriculum for Wales grant support programme on behalf of the Welsh government, in April 2025.
Part of the Curriculum for Wales grant support programme, the award has been enabling National Numeracy to help build number-confident school communities across Wales.
In February this year, Nick Thomas-Symonds, Labour MP for Torfaen, visited Cwmffrwdoer Primary to celebrate the rollout of the Schools & Families Programme.
Nick Thomas-Symonds said:
"It was great to visit Cwmffrwdoer Primary to see the Schools and Families programme that's being rolled out here in Torfaen.
"It's delivering important lessons to young people to ensure they have the life skills to be confident dealing with numbers and finances in the future.
"Thank you to National Numeracy, Barclays LifeSkills, and the Moondance Foundation for working together to deliver this programme."
How does the Schools & Families Programme support Curriculum for Wales?
The Schools & Families Programme also supports Curriculum for Wales, with one school telling National Numeracy:
